First things first.  Once you’ve booked your session, I will call you for your pre-consultation to discuss your needs, expectations, outfits, styling and location.  This call will help me determine the type of shoot that best fits you, your baby, your family or your SENIOR.

Please arrive at least 10-15 minutes prior to your session to ensure you are ready to go right on time.  Children can be dressed at the session to avoid last minute messes, but please ensure they are dressed and ready to go at the scheduled session time.  You are welcome to bring several outfit changes to your session, but keep in mind children normally get agitated with each change.

Your session will last between 60 and 90 minutes.  I strive to keep your session as stress free as possible.  If I feel I have gotten the shots I need or your children are done, I will let you know.

It is helpful for me during a session if parents stay a small distance away rather than trying to help get them to smile.  This usually results in children looking out of the frame.  When children are having a hard time with the session it is sometimes helpful for parents to leave and let the children simply interact with myself and each other.

I love to capture those candid moments and it can give them the space they are looking for.  If you children seem overwhelmed, it’s best to take a quick break and let them regroup.

Once your session is over and the images are captured, the selection and editing process begins.  Color correction, retouching, blemish removal and artistic style adjustments are made to each image.  Please allow approximately 1-2 weeks for the process to be completed.

Once the editing process is done, we will arrange a time to meet at your home for a session premier where we will enjoy a delicious dessert of your choosing, and view the images captured during your session.

Your gallery will contain approximately 20-30 custom edited images.  While I normally shoot anywhere from 200-300 frames a session, I narrow this down to the best of the best.  I find that clients appreciate my expertise in selecting the best images, giving them a smaller selection to help them choose.  I choose only images that I feel give you emotion, felling or a sense of who the individual or family is.

A session premiere (or in-person ordering session) is many times the easiest way for clients to order from their session.  This appointment is where I get to roll out the red carpet for you.  It gives you the opportunity to ask questions about your order, product offerings and home portrait planning.  It can be done in your home or mine, but for portrait planning is best in your home.

No images will be placed on facebook until after your session premiere.  Once they are posted please feel free to tag yourself but please leave logo visible.
